Saab Repair: sabb heater blower, heater blower, blower motor

Question
how do i take out the heater blower ?it's enclosed in a housing that i can,t seem to get out? when i put power to the blower it doesn't run,so i'am trying to replace it. it's a 1992 9000 cd

Answer
There is a section of the firewall in front of the blower that needs to come out. This gives you more room to get out the housing which contains the blower motor. the housing is clipped in on either side, the clips must be pried away to free the housing. To the left of the housing is a big round barrel loking thing which houses the evaporator, there is a screw at the front of it that must be removed. This allows the housing to be raised up slightly along with the blower housing. This should enable you to get the blower housing out. once it is out the are screws which hold the blower in the housing.
