Saab Repair: Convertible top leaking, rain water, visible signs

Question
1996 900 S Convertible. During heavy rain, water accumulates in the side rails of the top on both sides. Not the header or the bows. When stopping or turning, the water pours out through the divides in the rails. By divides, i mean the break in the metal at the point where it folds when raising or lowering the top. There are no visible signs or tearing in the top and it was replaced about 6 months ago before I purchased the car.

Answer
No idea off the top of my head. I would take the inner headliner loose and then have someone run a garden hose over it while you sit inside the car with a flashlight and try to see where the water is entering vehicle. It sounds like it could be the top fabric itself. I know you said it was replaced but if it was not a factory top the the quality can , at times , be a little sketchy.
