QUESTION: Ya know I never thought of that, I would assume it would be faster then 5 and a half mph because that Wheel Horse in my previous questions and my John Deere lt155 are both 5.5mph in high gear and on the snapper it seems quite faster in high gear. So if I was guessing probably 8-10mph but that's just my opinion.

ANSWER: 8-10 mph is pretty fast.  You don's mow at that speed do you?

QUESTION: Nah, I usually run it in 1H,2H, and if the grass is not very thick I'd run it in 3H, but the 12.5 hp briggs with a 38" or 40" (don't really know) deck can cut through 7" grass in 3H surprisingly good, but i love the sliding disc tranny because I can run a long in 2H and get to the end of the row and just push the lever down to 4H, 5H and spin around and pull it back into 2H and never touch the clutch!

Answer
FYI, those were pretty nice mowers.  Make sure you perform the required maintenance like filling the gear box with grease, grease all the front end parts and change the air filter and oil regularly...they don't that mower anymore and it is difficult to find a new one that is as well built as the YT12.
