Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kohler Courage SV470-610, toro riding mower, courage

I have a Toro riding mower with a Kohler Courage SV 470-610 engine.  While mowing the other day, the engine was running fine and then it just stopped.  Will not restart.  Any suggestions as to what the problem may be???

Will the starter spin the engine?  If so, have you checked for spark and fuel?
