Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Torque specs for replacing head gasket., replacing head gasket, toro lawn mower

Question
I have a Toro lawn mower with a 5.5 hp GTS, it is OHV and an 80's model. Numbers are missing or I would provide them. It was leaking oil from the head gasket so I got a new one and want to know (even if approximately) how many foot LBS to torque the head bolts?
Thank you

Answer
I Googled 535 HP GTS and found several model numbers 20461 or 20107.

This model 20622 had an engine service manual you can download.

Go to Toro's wesite and select Customer Support.  Select "Homeowner".  Select "Equipment Support".  Select "Manuals".  Enter model number "20622" and see if the engine manual is for your engine.

You can also do an "Advanced Search" or "View Model List" to find your mower model number.

You may have the Suzuki or Briggs engine as they were both offered on the GTS series.

Let me know if you can't find the torque spec.
