QuestionI have a Toro Wheel Horse 13-38 HXL Model # 71191 serial # 4904571.
The problem: I crank the engine and it turns over, it runs fine.
As soon as I release the parking brake the engine stalls and dies out. This will occur even if the engine is left idling for several minutes.
What I have done: The engine had a tune up at the end of last season including a new spark, fuel filter,air filter and oil. I added new gas with seafoam additive yesterday and sprayed carb cleaner into the air intake.
I also bypassed (jumped out)the seat safety switch. The rest of the safeties all work per manufacturers recommendations,the ignition won't start with the PTO engaged,or the parking brake released.
What should I do to get this mower moving.
Please help the grass is growing fast.
AnswerI suspect you still have a safety switch problem.
Have you read the Toro Riding Products 1985-2001 Demystification Guide available at Toro's website?
I looked up you mower and all the manuals are available to download.
Have you checked the safety relay?
