Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): follow-up on the Honda situation, honda specs, air leaks

Question
I flushed the tank, hooked the fuel hoses up again. I turned on the fuel shutoff valve and left the fuel line off the carb. Same result. It seems like there is fuel coming from the gas tank to the carb. Maybe not enough fuel is coming through. I don't think the line is pinched. I even put some carb cleaner in the fuel line. After the engine starts using starting fluid, it will kind of run for quite a while with the choke set fully on. As soon as I try to take some choke off is when it starts to pullsate and eventually dies. Strange stuff. I'm not sure about the engine yet - valves. I'm using the new carb I got from Honda. Ben, can you get the honda specs from the original request from this "follow-up"  Thanks much.

For some reason I can not find the follow up message are you sure it was me? Did you e-mail it to me?I get a lot of questions everyday so sometimes I can't remember who sent me what. your problem may be in the carburetor  low idle ports, you would have to take it apart and clean it and put new parts back in.You said you installed a new carburetor so then there may be a leak around the gaskets that would cause too much air it would be leaned out to much for the carb to work. Check the gaskets the carb tightness and any other place around the carburetor for air leaks.
