Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Murray snowblower 627804X6, murray snowblower, traction drive
Drive Component Assemb
Hi -- I have a problem with my Murray blower.  Part #579941E701MA (original part 579941) Assembly Traction level (#190 in the figure)sheared off during normal operation (at the point where it attaches to #195 Spring Lever).  Now I have no traction drive.  I would like to try to replace this part but can't figure out how to get at it in order to remove / replace.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Need to understand whether this is a DIY before spending $70+ on the part.  Thanks, Scott.

Answer
Hello Scott:

>>Sorry for the Delay. I had to Purchase a New PC and then Switch my Files and Records from the Old One.
>>Replacing this Part Requires Removal of the Auger Housing from the Drive Unit.
>>Once the Auger Housing is Free of the Drive Frame, you can then Replace the Traction Assy Lever and Flange Bearings at the Same Time.
>>It is Time Consuming but I Consider it a Mid Level DIY Project.
>>If you Hit a Snag, you have More Questions or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
