Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Size of thread for oilfill plug on a Tecumseh 9 hp, question pool, size thread

I would like to know what size thread is used on the Oil Fill Plug assembly for the following: Tecumseh 9 hp 4 cycle Snow King engine? The Model # is LH318SA. Spec. is  156554H. The part # from Sears for this is: 35942. Or is there an extension kit that raises the oil fill/ dipstick? This is very difficult to get at and cross threads easily due to nature of location and the fact it is made of a plastic material. Thank You Dave
