Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Chain Saw Parts, hi john, model numbers

Question
Hi John
I have a Craftsman Chain Saw Model 316.350840 18 In. 55CC engine. Some fins broke off of my flywheel #MC-9228-31B206 and sears parts direct said that part is no longer available.
I went to a  small engine shop and the man told me that a MTD part would interchange with it. I lost the number he gave me and he went out of business. I have tried to cross Craftsman and MTD to find a part number with no luck. Can you help me. Thank You.
