cleaned carb twice air cleaner ok removed gas cap new spark plug runs good with choke half out ????

Answer
If it runs good with the choke half out I'd still suspect the carb is the problem.  Have you checked to see if all the intake gaskets are in good shape and sealing?  If a gasket is leaking it will make the engine run lean requiring more fuel to the engine.

Did you blow compressed air from an air compressor through all the carburetor orfices (holes)?
