Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): briggs 6.5 hp not getting fuel, carburetor jets, fuel lines

I have a Briggs 6.5 hp walk behind model #123k02-0193 that isn't getting fuel. I replaced the primer bulb and the air cleaner gasket but still no fuel is pumped when primer is pushed. I also checked the fuel lines and they are fine just can't figure out why primer wont suck fuel. thanks for any input-john

Have you cleaned the carburetor jets? If so, I would guess the gasket between the air filter base and the carburetor isn't sealing, so what I would do is double up on the gasket and use washers on the bolts holding the cover on. It may have gotten warped and caused it not to seal.
