Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): kawaski fb460v oil leak, kawasaki fb460v, shaft cover

Question
I have a kawaski fb460v that is leaking oil from the rear of the motor? It's coming from a plate that has 4 bolts on it. I looked at a digram of the motor and the only thing I could think it looked like was a  "suport shaft cover"?? sound correct?
If so if I remove that is there any parts inside that will come loose? Thaks have a great night

Answer
Have you checked to see if the bolts are loose?

What are the rest of the engine numbers?  I looked up FB460v-S12 and did not see the support shaft cover.  Below is a website I found describing how to replace the oil sump/pan gaskets.  If this is where your engine is leaking oil then you will have to remove the engine to replace the gasket.

Let me know the engine numbers so I can look up the support shaft cover.
