hi ...I can grab the spark plug lead .pull start rope and get a decent shock from magneto ..yet put the plug wire on with a brand new spark plug and get no spark to plug

...i have sandpapered the flywheel magnet /gapped magneto to .015 ... ive yet to pull the flywheel ...

do i have a bad condensor?  weak magneto? bad points?    i even have a spark plug tool to check spark / still no spark ...

engine is old ..probaly never had points /condensor ...model 130202 0135   

also does the aluminum rewind clutch screw off or pull off crank shaft before flywheel removal?

Well if you are getting zapped when holding the wire while engine is being turned over then you have spark.Make sure that the plug snap into the wire snugly,and yes you would have to take the pull cord setup off with any kind of case there may be to get to the flywheel! You can try sanding the sides of the flywheel.It could be that the coil is weak and not producing enough to make spark at the plug? Give these suggestions a try and hopfully it will run!
