Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): stihl o11av, fuel lines, fuel system

Question
this saw was bought brand new; and it would'nt start like it should from the beginning! I used it very little, because I got tired of pulling the cord!! I just brought it back out for some small tree cutting; and the same thing!, no start! It has a new plug, no exhaust restriction, good fuel, good spark, but does'nt even show signs of starting! I even sprayed a shot of ether! Nothing!!! Thank You for any help!!!

Answer
Being an older saw, the fuel lines might be brittle, so I would remove the air filter and look at them.  Dump out all of the fuel,
remove the plug and pull the rope a dozen times.
Put the plug back in, pull a couple more times, then if nothing,
give a light squirt of ether in the carb again, and it should
start and rev for a second or two then die, if it does, then you
can focus on the fuel system, if not, you have bigger problems.

This will narrow it down and we can focus, and not look elsewhere
if the carb just floods the saw from the start.

Try this test, and let me know what you find,
Thanks
