Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Valve adjustment, twin cylinder engines, hp briggs

QUESTION: I have a 15 HP Briggs and Sratton. I need adjust the valves. I just want to know
which rocker arm is the exhaust and which is the intake? Is it the top one or
bottom one?

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: I removed the valve cover. I was told two different methods to adjust the
valves. One video on U-tube it was explained to turn the flywheel so the
bottom valve is all the way in (Compressed) and adjust the top valve. Then
turn the flywheel so the top valve is compressed and then adjust the bottom
valve.
Another way I read about was to put the cylinder at TDC and then go 1/4" in.  
Then adjust both valves at the same time. What do you suggest?
I also read the intake was .003-.005 and the exhaust was .005-.007.
If I am looking at the rocker arms I can not tell which valve is bigger unless I
remove the cylinder head. Is that correct?

>>Remove the Valve Cover (on the Dead Cylinder for Twin Cylinder Engines).
>>Check the Push Tubes and make Sure they are Not Bent.
>>Set the Cylinder you are Setting the Valves on to Top Dead Center on the Compression Stroke When Setting the Valve Clearance. Now Loosen the Valve Adjuster Lock and  Using a Blade Style Feeler Gauge, Set the Intake Valve Clearance to .004in -.006in and the Exhaust to .006in - .008in. Loosen and Tighten the Rocker Arm and the Feeler Gauge is Placed Between the Rocker Arm and the Valve Top where the Rocker Arm Pushes on the Valve.
>>***BE SURE TO TIGHTEN THE ADJUSTER LOCK AFTER YOU HAVE THE PROPER VALVE CLEARANCE***

If your engine has a decorative cover, it may be necessary to remove it in order to locate the Model, Type, and Code.
