Question
leaking fuel out of air filter after shut down and storage.  Craftsmen 6.75 2550 psi 2 gpm.model # 580.752710   not a carb guy but was thinking of disablemby to check float?  what am I looking for?   thanks for the help.

Answer
You're right on.  You probably have a needle that's not seating or a float with a hole in it.  Be sure to change your oil as you may have a crankcase with a bunch of gas in it.

I'd just pull the carb apart and soak it for an hour or more in carb cleaner, chase the holes with a fine wire then reassemble with a new carb kit.  Check the float for leaks by adding some soap to some water and holding the float underwater.

The carburetor you have goes through needle and seats pretty regular.  If you can tell me whether you have the primer carb or the choke carb I'll get you the part number for the rebuild kit.  Thanks, PK.
