Answer
Have you tried pouring a teaspoon of gas straight into the carb intake?  This has the carb mounted directly on the tank doesn't it?  If so, those work by pulling gas from the main tank and dropping it into a small tank within the gas tank which acts as a fuel bowl.  What happens sometimes is that the diaphragm inside the carb can't get the fuel to flow from tyhe main tank to the fuel bowl and needs a ltiile help.  Usually you can put a little gas into the carb inlet and this will get the engine running for a few seconds which is long enough to get the diaphragm pumping fuel again.

You could also have a bad diaphragm.  It should be mounted on the side of the carb under the cover with 4 screws.

Let me know if any of this sounds like what you have and give the gas in the carb a try.  Thanks, PK.
