Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Safety switches, solenoid switch, blade switch

Question
QUESTION: Evening Mr. Adinolfi. I have a Yard Machine by MTF, Model 14.5 LT. The Model number on the plate is 13AM675G062-C2055. I have taken all of the lawn deck parts, and now it won't start. Is there a hidden safety safety switch that I somehow have set to safe mode? My wife would like her garage back. Any suggestions? Thanks

ANSWER: There are no switches on the deck itself, the blade engage safety switch is usually coming in contact with the arm or linkage of the blade engagement control handle, are you trying to start it with the arm for the blade engagement in the wrong position?.......Tom

QUESTION: Morning.
I have taken the arm/linkage off along with all of the other mower deck hanging equipment. There appears to be a Solenoid switch mounted on the bottom of the frame plate. It is part 31 as shown on this page http://www.upstateoutdoorpowerequipment.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/default.aspx  Even when I do depress the switch, the engine won't turn over. Are there any other safety devices that have to be removed? I have no intention of using the mowing deck, in fact, I gave it away. I just need the tractor to pull a cart. Again, thanks for you help.

Answer
If you took all that off then you must have removed the safety switch for it too. If you didn't by pass the blade switch it won't start, the lever has to push the switch in or it thinks the blades are engaged and won't start, or turn over........Please rate answers......Tom
