Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda Riding Lawn Mower, jumper cable, model honda

Question
I have a Honda Lawn mower (rider), Model 3813 (2-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine).     When I turn the key...it is dead, makes absolutely no noise, no clicking or anything.   I do have power in the battery so it is not that.     I also jumped it direct from my truck to the starter and there was nothing.    Could it be the starter?   If so, do I have to pull the engine to take the starter off?     Thanks

I have Answered this Question Already. In Case you Failed to Recieve the Answer, it is as Follows. Thanks for Using All Experts. From your Description it Sounds like a Bad Starter. Does the Starter Make Any Noise at All when Jumped as you Described? If No, then the Starter is Bad and Requires Replacing. The Following is an Instruction File I Made for Checking/Testing the Starter and Solenoid. **(with the Spark Plug/s Removed) To Check the Solenoid and Starter, Once you are Sure the Battery is Fully Charged/New, then Use your Jumper Cable Set and Attach the Positive Lead Onto the Positive Post of the Battery (make sure the Battery is Fully Charged or is a New Battery). Now Firmly Touch the Large Post on the Starter. If the Starter Does Not Turn and you can turn the Engine by Hand, then the Starter is Bad. If the Starter Turns the Engine Properly, Then Check the Solenoid. Firmly Touch the Small Post at the Base of the Solenoid that has the Ign Wire Attached to it. If The Starter Does Not Turn and the Solenoid Clicks, Then the Solenoid is Bad.** Some of these Engines have to be Loosened and Raised to Remove the Starter. I have Not had the Opportunity to Work on this Particular Model Honda yet, so I can Not be Sure. Now Select Lawn Tractor and then Scroll Down to your Model and Click on it. Now Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View.
