Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Snapper Model 210 SS Trimmer, plastic fuel tank, straight shaft

Question
This is 1987 unit with a plastic fuel tank [P/N 4-4414] that leaks.  Can't find leak from outside and can't remove tank from trimmer.  I've taken everything removable from around the tank, but for the life of me can't see how to remove the tank.

Answer
Hello Bill:

If I am Not Mistaken, the Rear Engine Plate Holds the Tank to the Engine Frame. You can View a Breakdown/IPL at this Site Addy, http://www.emerichsales.com/ and Select Parts at the Top of the Page. Now Fill Out the "OEM Parts Diagrams Look Up by Model Fit". Select Snapper for the OEM. Then Select "Portable Power Equipment". Then Select Straight Shaft Trimmers. Then Select your Model. Now Select the "Fuel Tank, Filter, Primer Pump and Clutch" File. The Breakdown #2 is the Tank Mounting Pads. Locate the Pads and then Locate the Component that Holds the Tank. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.

Good Luck
