Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&S 6.75 model# 126702, eng.# 0114, fuel air mixture, fly wheel

Question
Hello again John, Re: accessing fuel/air mixture screw(s), how much disassembly involved?; must I go as far as removing fly wheel nut and fly wheel to get at carburetor? Thanks again and have a good 4th. GBY&Y, Sal Cannizzaro

Answer
Hi Sal:

Thanks for the Good Words. I Looked this Engine Up and there is Only 1 Carburetor Mixture Screw. This is the Idle Air (L) Mixture Screw. The Main (H) Mixture is Set with the Bowl Mount Bolt. This Bolt is Hollow and Allows the Proper Amount of Gas into the Main Jet. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine at this Site Addy; http://www.briggsandstratton.com/maint_repair/manual_and_more/doclist.aspx?categ... and Enter the Model Numbers (126702) and the First 4 Type Numbers (0114) in the Appropriate Boxes and Click GO. Then Select Download PDF. The Carburetor is Shown on Pg 6 of 17. You Should have Access to this Screw without Removing Anything Other than the Air Filter. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Have a Happy Holiday Season and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
