Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): LAWNTRACTOR STEERING, craftsman riding lawn mower, steering wheel

I HAVE A CRAFTSMAN RIDING LAWN MOWER, THE PROBLEM IS WHEN THE WHEELS ARE STRAIGHT THE STEERING WHEEL IS 90 DEGREES OFF CENTER HOW DO I STRAIGHTEN THE WHEEL TO MATCH THE DIRECTION OF THE WHEELS

You may have to remove the steering wheel or the steering shaft and move the shaft to line them up.

Is the steering wheel held on with a bolt or pin?  If you follow the  steering shaft down from the steering wheel do you see the steering gears?
