Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): No spark, plug gap, air gap

Question
I have a 20hp Honda v-twin model GX620. I have no spark. It was intermittent at first, now constant. I took the low voltage wires off the magnetos to eliminate the possibility of a short to ground. Still no spark. Is is possible that both magnetos went bad at the same time? The only other possibility is a low oil alert problem. I have followed each wire and have not found the low oil switch or low oil alert unit so I am assuming I do not have a low oil alert. Anyway, with the low voltage wire removed from the magnetos, this should not be a problem. I don't want to buy two new magnetos if there is another possible explanation. Any help would be appreciated. Peter

First replace the spark plug sometimes they go bad we even had new one not work. Set the plug gap at 0.028 Make sure that the air gap is set for 0.016 = or - 0.008 in on the flywheel. The primary coil should have the following values at the flywheel 0.08-1.00 ohms.
The secondary coil should have 7.0-8.6 ohms Resistance
Also check the engine stop diode wire.
