Steering Column Repair: wipers, monaco dynasty, clockspring

Gan--my original question was,my wipers come on when i turn the wheel. my wiper switch is in the smart wheel,and the monaco dynasty 03 does not have air bags. wipers and turn signals are seperate switches.Are you sure it,s not the clockspring?

Hi Loren:

If your car does not have an airbag then it does not have a clockspring.  Therefore, based on YOUR information, I am 100% sure it is not the clockspring.  Most of the time when that happens, it is a bare wire going to the wiper switch that grounds out when you turn the wheel, so my guess from 1000 miles way is a bad wiper switch.
