Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Toro Snowmaster w/ Tecumseh, no spark, snowmaster, assembly drawings

Question
I have an old Toro Snowmaster 14 that I picked up at an auction several years ago.  Worked fine for a couple years, but now I have no spark.  Has a tecumseh 2 cycle, but I am having a difficult time determining the model number.  I can't see any tags with numbers that make sense to me, there is one metal band screwed into the bottom that reads 1584 Tecumseh 7174.  I would like to just try to replace the points to begin with, but am not sure of part numbers.

Thank you.

Clayton

Answer
Hello Clayton:

The Model Numbers are Usually STAMPED Into the Blower Housing (metal engine cover) Above the Spark Plug or Above the Muffler. Since this is a Tecumseh Engine, I have a PDF Site Addy that May Assist you Also. http://www.tecumsehpower.com/CustomerService/BSI.pdf If you can Locate the Engine Model Numbers, then Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. I can Also Locate the Proper Part Numbers for the Point Set. **Send me the Model Numbers Off the Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you.** You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower at this Site Addy, https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/default.cfm and Select Start Parts Viewer. Now Enter the Model Numbers. Now Select View Assembly Drawings. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Have a Happy Holiday Season and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
