Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda Small Engine Throttle, small engine warehouse, arinet

Question
Just purchased and installed a Honda GXV340 (v340a2da2), which I've found, and can refer to, on Hayward.arinet.com.  It's only got about 6 hours on it, but now the throttle doesn't seem to have enough stroke, before it starts to engage the choke.  Basically, the RPMs at its limit aren't as high as it was when I first installed it.  I slightly shortened the length of the Governor Spring, #16561-ZE9-010, to finish this season's work, but I can't help but think there must be a proper way to adjust that.  It was purchased from Small Engine Warehouse, and no manuals were included.  I've downloaded the user manual, but the shop manual is about $30.00.  Could you tell me how to properly make that one, throttle adjustment, please.

Thank You,
John

Answer
Hello John:

Look in the Control File for the Engine Model you Sent me. I Think the Adjustment you are Asking About is the Screw # 23 in the Breakdown. I Also Suggest you Purchase the Service Manual. It will be a Good Investment and has Almost ALl the Information you will Require to Keep this Engine Running Properly for a Long Time. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Have a Happy Holiday Season and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
