Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): TROY BUILT STRING TRIMMER, carburator, string trimmer

Engine starts but quits after a few seconds. Spark good, piston does not appear broken. Gas free flows out of carburator and free flows out of primer bulb when primed. I've cleaned carburator in ultrasonic cleaner, blew out all orafices, rebuilt with new kit but problem persists. Bad carburator???

Make sure that the fuel cap is vented and check the fuel filter if there is one. Sounds like the carb is not putting enough fuel to the carb. Adjust the high speed so that when you have the throttle pushed in all the way the engine starts to smoothe out you may have to keep adjusting till it runs correctly.
