Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): No spark on tecumseh engine, lawnmower shop, index card

Question
I can't get a spark on engine. Checked spark plug, put on a new ignition module. I left the ground wire disconnected. Still no spark. Any help would appreciated.

sounds like you might have a bad coil now one thing you could try is take the coil off and wire brush the flywheel where the magnet part is and then the coil and then put it back on and gap it to the flywheel using a index card if that doesn't work you might have to get a new coil but you could take it to a lawnmower shop and test the coil thanks let me know
