Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Online place to order battery???, small block chevy, john deere gt

Question
i have a John deere GT 235 mower and I need to order a battery online and i cannot find anything the right size-it has to be 500 amps with the red positive post on the left side when I am facing the mower and the posts to the front-----------
Thanks,I am desperate,my battery died over the winter-i can jump start it but I am afraid of it stalling way out in the field

Answer
500 cca's ????
That's enough power to crank a 350 Chevy!
The stock battery was about 180 cca.
The biggest output battery Deere sells for this model is 300 cca.
Go to a Deere dealer and buy either an SWGT-X 35.00 or a TY21752 battery it will be about 48.00 dollars. Remember when you buy a battery you get what you pay for.
DON'T SPEND LESS THAN 30.00!
You can order a battery at reynoldsll.com. But why pay the freight.

Sorry to disappoint you but you don't need that many cca's
Is it cold right now? Do you use your tractor in the winter? I told you what you need. Why bother asking an expert if you don't care what he says.
The reason the online cart won't help you is that no common carrier will carry a "wet" battery. You can't buy an acid filled battery online. My dealer will gladly ship you a battery but it won't have any acid in it. Do you have a source of acid? Probably not. If you do go to reynoldsll.com and we will definitely ship you a "dry" battery.
It won't be 500cca's though. We sell about 100 batteries a month and we don't have 500 cca battery in the house.
Kawasaki, engine builder of your tractor, says 200 cca's.
20 hp is not a big engine. A small block Chevy has 200+ and they recommend 2 cca's per hp.
