Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Sears GT5000 Engine lopes, question pool, gt5000

This happened once before and then dissappeared before I could figure it out. It's back. I had been cutting for about two hours and ran out of gas. Got gas and filled it up, 20 minutes went by. When I started it it would race up and down. If I choke it it runs a bit smoother. Any ideas? Its a 25 HP Kohler engine. Thanks.

Hello Chuck:

Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool. Remove, Disassemble and Soak the Carburetor Overnight in Carburetor Cleaner (I use Gunk). Then Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air and Install New Kit. The Carburetor has Picked up Trask and it is Restricting the Carburetor Jet. Hope this Helps.
