 Hello Gary:

On the Transaxle is an OEM Information Plate. Send me the Numbers and Other Information Off of this Plate, Please. With these I can Locate a Breakdown/IPL and the Proper Service Manual for your Transaxle. However, Look on Top of the Transaxle on Either Side of the Cooling Fan. There May be a Rubber Plug/Plugs Located Here. If Not, then Check the Upper Half of the Transaxle for an Allen Plug or a Pipe Plug (4 sides). If None of these are Present, then the Transaxle is a Non Serviceable Unit. Some of the Non Serviceable Transaxles can be Re Filled by Removing the Shifter from the Housing. Add Only 1 Pint at a Time to Ensure you Dont Over Fill the Transaxle Too Much. Use SAE 30 Engine Oil. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.

There's no plate on transaxle but there is a allen plug & maybe a vent hole on top of transaxle in front of fan. The model is #917.270760 Serial #031300A005432 42" cut 18.5 V twin B&S Intek. If I can put oil in how much and what kind.
   Thanks Gary

Answer
 Hello Gary:

If the Allen Plug is on the Side of the Transaxle, then Fill the Transaxle with Oil to the Bottom of the Plug Hole. If it is on Top, Then Add 1 Pint at a Time and No More than 3 Pints Maximum. If you Added 3 Pints and are Still having Problems, then The Cause is Internal. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.

 Good Luck
