I just bought a 8 hp Briggs and Stratton motor, and i am using it for a go-kart and i was wondering how to hook the throttle cable up to the motor so i can drive the go-kart.

Hi...this is a very easy process, but you want to be sure you do it properly for safety sake - a sticking throttle can be very dangerous!  Okay, you'll need to attach the throttle cable and a return spring to the throttle control arm.  You should be able to find any needed throttle cable parts for this unit at your local hardware store or go-cart shop (or on-line). You'll probably need to get a throttle stop (tube with a bolt screwed into one end and throttle wire through a hole at the other end that can be tightened down to adjust throttle cable length).  You'll also a need a return spring, that will attached at the opposite side of the throttle control to pull the control back to the idle position.  Hope this helps.
