Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman 12.5Hp Lawnmower Fuel Leak, fuel leaks, float bowl

Question
The fuel leaks out of the exhaust & carb.  Is there a rubber seal at the inlet needle? (It's very hard to see & could get carb off yet)

Yes, there is a rubber, actually viton, tip on the inlet needle to seal off the gas flow.  You can remove the float bowl without removing the carburtor.  With the bowl remove you can remove the float hinge pin and then the needle.

This is a little more difficult with the carb on the engine but it can be done if you take your time.

Check the float as well.
