Suzuki: 91 Suzuki Sidekick intermittent No Start, digital volt meter, suzuki sidekick jx

Question
91 Suzuki  Sidekick  JX,  1.6L Engine,  4 Door,  4 WD with Manual Transmission has Intermittent "nothing happens.... no noise at all" when the ignition switch is turned to start. Battery is new & contacts were cleaned.  "Clutch Neutral Starting Safety Switch"  is not stuck.  Will start sometimes next day with doing nothing. Suspect Starter Solenoid (started one time after wiggled) but not sure how to test. What is best source for starting circuit wiring diagram & how to test?

Answer
Check the voltage with a digital volt meter at the solenoid actuating wire (the small one) with the wire hooked up.  If it doesn't start, you can try jumping battery voltage to the actuating terminal.  If it starts, get one of the relay kits available on the izook website, or try replacing the ignition switch, your choice.  It's not uncommon for the ignition switch/wiring to loose so much power, it won't actuate the starter, and not just on Suzuki cars, either.
