Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): pull cord on b & s, briggs and straton, tie a slip knot

Question
pull cord on briggs and straton broke. i understand how the rope feeds into the spring tension but how does it attach to the engine? do you just slip the knot onto the notch or wrap it around it once or twice?

Answer
 Hello Jeff:

After the Pulley is Turned Tight and Reversed 1 Turn; you Push the Rope Through the Hole in the Plastic Recoil Pulley and Pull it through the Hole in the Blower Housing. A Knot in the End of the Rope Holds the Rope from Pulling through the Hole in the Pulley. Tie a Slip Knot to Hold the Rope in Place while the Handle is Attached to the Other End of the Rope. Release the Slip Knot and the Rope will Retract into the Housing. The Housing is then Replaced onto the The Engine. Send me the Model, Type and Code Numbers Off of the Engine and I can Locate a Breakdown/Illustrated Parts List for you to View Online. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
