Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): LAWN CHIEF IDENTIFICATION, murray ohio mfg co, briggs and stratton

Question
I aquired a Lawn Chief riding mower that needs a blade drive hub (I believe they are called 'Quills'). The model no. is 2-1136-VD the date of manufacture is 5-36536X57 0525 and also says Murray Ohio MFG. Co. I can't find anything on or about this. Can you steer me in the right direction so I can find an air filter, Quill, and possibly a pair of blades for this? I don't even know when this was made. It runs good so I've decided to keep it, but need to cut grass too. Thanks!

Answer
Andy I work in shop and get this all the time. To get engine parts you need the numbers stamped in the shroud right above the spark plug. Plus the first 2 numbers of the code are the year if it's a briggs motor. Murray is out of business, they were bought by briggs and stratton. So any of your local briggs dealers can get you parts. Just make sure you bring in all your numbers, and sometimes bringing in the old parts help . Good luck.
