Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawnmower - putting back together!, throttle plate, carburator

Question
I have a Scotts lawnmower with a Tecumseh 6.5 OVH engine that was stalling out on me- probably dirt in the line and/or carbuerator.  So, being the handyman that I think I am, I took it apart, cleaned all the lines and the carbuerator (there was a lot of debris in the gas tank) and have most of it back together but can't figure out how to attach the rigid wire and the spring loaded wire to the power control assembly - can't find a schematic that goes down to that level.  Can you help?

Answer
Can you describe the carburator?  Is is a Walbro or a Tillotson.  About how old is this unit?  If you can locate the model number I could be more specific.

(as a general rule, the throttle will attach directly to a lever, the lever has a spring going to the throttle plate, the governor will atach directly to the throttle plate with a rod- the idea here is that the governor must be able to override the throttle input from the operator)
