Answer
Hello John,

Although the coil will spark with the battery, it is probably not sparking when connected to the engine. As it is a magneto engine, it's pretty much all there is to suspect. The only other thing to check is the kill switch. The best way to make sure the kill switch isn't causing this, is to put the key in the "Run" position. Then, take the wire(s) going from the kill and disconnect them. Try to start it. If it runs, you will know it needs a new kill. You can get a new coil here: http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp;jsessionid=ITHTXND2GVL...  .  I would also recommend installing a new plugs wire and cap, available through www.denniskirk.com . I believe www.mfgsupply.com would have them also. Let me know if you need any help. Hope this helps. Good luck with the sled! --Arcticatman
