Steering Column Repair: my 1993 ford f150 wont start after replaceing the shifter tube, f150 ford, automatic shift

I replaced the shifter tube in my 1993 f150 ford 5.0 truck and now it won't start I checked the interia switch wich was triped I reset it and the truck still won't start I need help can u please help me thank you

Hi Walter:

This one is going to be difficult for us to do long distance, but I will give it a shot.  I am going to need a lot more information form you on the events that led up to this problem and your procedure for the repair you mentioned.  
I am assuming it is an automatic shift we are talking about and you replaced the shift tube and shaft on the top of the column.  If that is wrong, please correct me.
Did you take the column out of the truck or do it in the truck?  
When you say it won't start, i need to know if you mean it cranks over but wont fire up, or if it won't even crank (the starter will not engage)?

Once I know some of these answers I may be able to help you more.  In the meantime, double check the connection to the ignition switch mounted on the bottom of the column.  those have a history of burning and often some of the pins pull out of the hardshell connector that plugs into them.
