Steering Column Repair: ignition actuator rod, gmc 1500, design column

I have a 94 GMC 1500 truck.where does the rod from the switch go on the ignition switch under the dash.Thanks

Hi Bob:

The actuator rod runs from the electrical switch, mounted to the middle of the column tube up into the upper housing (non-tilt) or the tilt housing(tilt designs) and is pushed and pulled by the rack gear.
