Although you don't say what kind of car (truck) you have, I can offer you our company website that has video for loose tilt GM columns for free.
We have recently uploaded these videos on our website to give you first hand viewing of how to remove, disassemble, and reassemble the parts you are talking about. They are broken down into step by step 2-3 minute detailed videos with instructions. Although the video is for a Chevrolet truck, most GM columns are very similar to this.
