Steering Column Repair: chevy truck tilt steering replacement, salvage yards, tilt steering

i have a 1985 chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 with auto trans i need to know what year tilt colium will fit it i have been told any 73 to 87 and i have been told that it has to be 84 thru 87 thanks if you can or cant help

According to my research, 1984 through 1987 will work.  
For used parts...Try this site.  You may be able to find what you need.

For new parts, once you have the original part numbers, try this site.
