Steering Column Repair: 1977 Steering Column Assy, c3 corvette, steering column

Hello, not sure if you can help but here goes.  I have a 1977 C3 Corvette.  I had to take the steering column apart to punch out a broken turn signal lever, now im having a problem getting it all back together again.  I have the Manufacturer tear down manual, Chilton and Haynes, non of them show this, they all show below and above the column assy.  Any ideas?

tilt telescope Hi Dave:

I get this question a lot...It seems there is no good information on how to reassemble a tilt-telescopic wheel.  It is a 25 step procedure, piece by piece.  I actually did one today for a customer and photographed the entire procedure.  I will be posting it on our website over the weekend so you can see and print the pages, step-by-step on how to reassemble this puzzle by GM.
