Subaru Repair: 1998 Subaru airbag light, air bag, airbag

I have a 98 Forester and the airbag light on the dash is on.  Sometimes it will go off, then the next time I start the car it will be on again.  What might be the cause(s) of this?

There are many possible causes of an air bag light coming on.  

It needs to be Diagnosed, most likely if the light is on and you get in an accident the airbags may not work properly.

There isn't much I can do to advise you here other than tell you it needs to be Diagnosed by someone familiar with Subaru.
