Towing Issues: Tow Dolly, honda cr v, toyota pickup

Question
I live in Clemson, SC and own a 2004 Honda CRV.  We are moving and want to tow our 1986 Toyota pick up.  The CRV is rated to tow 1500 lbs.  We know that the engine will handle the weight of the truck on a tow dolly.  What we don't know is if the transmission will handle the weight.  (Are there conversions charts for using a tow dolly?)

Answer
Well I am not totally sure about the actual numbers here, but the 1986 Toyota pickup will be weighing in about 3000 pounds or so...

Add in the tow dolly or the trailer and you can have up to 4000 pounds that you are "TOWING"   If the Honda is rated at 1500 pounds tow capacity then the numbers speak for themselves.

U-Haul has a great website about towing vehicle and such, and I just plugged in the numbers there for your information and this is what it says

"The Honda CR-V does not weigh enough to tow the Toyota Pickup using U-Haul towing equipment. You must use a larger towing vehicle."

Sorry for not having a better answer, but if you want to do this you might have to get a bigger vehicle or rent a truck to do it.
