Towing Issues: TOW COMPANY AND STORAGE CHARGE, small claims court, shaw st

Question
I am a used car dealer whom sold a car to a customer, he financed the car from me and owed me money. His car was illegally parked and towed. They towed car on march 12 and did not send me a letter till april 7th. bye law they have 7 days to notifie owner and lein holder which they did not.
they then sent paper work in and lied on the paper work and said they did mechanical work on it in january 10th. Which is impossable becasue i owned the car still. I did not sell it until Feb 22. I took them to small claims court and they did not show in which i won. but to collect a judgement is very hard. Who can i contact to go after them and sue them for sending illegal paper work to the state of florida to get a title in which they sold my car  what do I have to do to go after them criminally???Please help

Answer
Rose,

I would start with the dmv, because the towing company does have to follow state regulations when lien selling a vehicle. The DMV will most likely investigate, and possibly audit the tow company.

Nextly, the local police may have a contract with the tow company, if so, they are then bound by local regulations as well.
