Towing Issues: tow Chevy S10 with Dodge Durango, chevy s10, dodge durango

Question
I am moving from Orlando FL, to Buffalo NY. I want to use my 2002 Dodge Durango rear wheel drive, V8, with a class 3 hitch to tow my chevy 2003 S-10 rear wheel drive, manual transmission, 2.2L, extended cab. With all 4 wheels down using a tow bar. I plan removing the driveshaft while towing it. besides safty chains and lights what else do i need/should i have while doing this? where can i get plugs for the transmission and rear differential?
or am i totally off my rocker and should i another way?

Answer
well as to the plugs for the transmission you would have to check with a transmission shop for them....

But the rear differential is just 4 bolts into the yoke and no fluid would leak (unless you have a bad seal)

You can leave the driveline in, just remove the bolts and straps and then take the 2 U-Joint caps off the drive line... Then tie up the driveline to the vehicle frame (1 inch ratchet straps work great).
Just be sure to really make sure it is secure and also run part of the strap though the space between the actual driveline and the U-Joint and make sure it is pulled forward so that it can not slide out of the transmission end...
