Towing Issues: two vehs, carrier safety regulations, motor carrier safety

when towing second veh behind a land-dol or flat bed with stinger, do u need t cross safety chains, is it a law? if u don't know, could u tell me who might. Thank's Randy

I have heard that Florida specify crossed chains... But I also know that WreckMaster says to cross the chains, along with a few other trainers...

To me I really do not see any benefit in crossed chains or straight chains.  But that is me...

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR green book) 393.70 and 393.71 do specify 2 safety chains.
