Towing Issues: who pays the bill, storage fees, tow company

vehicle is stolen.  18 year old driver from South Dakota dies driving vehilce in Nebraska.  Vehicle has liability only.  Bheicle is TOTALED.  Who pays the tow company?  State Patrol impounded the vehicle then released.

well the vehicle owner is responsible for towing and storage fees...

Normally insurance will cover costs if there is full coverage, but in the case of liability only then it falls back on you...

And it sounds as if the driver will not have any assets which you can go after on this one...

I would check with your insurance company and see what they advise, and of course talk to the tow company also...  Maybe something can be worked out...

And I hope that no one else was injured in the wreck.
